Job Title: Health Science Teacher
Location of Position: HCHS
Job Responsibilities: Teach Health Science courses to prepare students for the healthcare field, serve as HOSA club sponsor, facilitate clinical work based learning placements, and other duties as assigned by the Principal and/or CTE Director.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
Postsecondary certificate or diploma related to health related license, registration, or certification
TN teaching license with Health Science endorsement or willingness to seek training to receive endorsement
State board of health issued license/certification (from TN or another state) or a license, registration, or certification verified by a national license accreditation agency
Must be willing to earn work based learning certification
Experience Required:
Three (3) years of relevant work experience, completed within the last five (5) years;
Five (5) years of relevant work experience, completed within the last ten (10) years;
Two (2) years of relevant work experience, completed within the last ten (10) years and a postsecondary technical school certificate related to health care license;
One (1) year of relevant work experience, completed within the last ten (10) years and an Associate degree related to health care license;
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree related to health care license
Hours: 7:30-3:30

Position: Maintenance Technician/Mechanic
Start Date: Upon filling the position
Responsibilities:
Perform skilled mechanical repair and maintenance on gasoline, propane, and diesel-powered buses and other motorized equipment. Tasks include working on engines, transmissions, suspension, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and related components. Continuously learn new mechanical and electronic systems. Ensure compliance with federally mandated safety-sensitive requirements. Maintain maintenance records and report safety hazards. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
An ability to communicate in a courteous manner
Experience or education in mechanical repair, or completion of internal tests for current employees.
Valid TN Class “A” Driver’s License with “P” and “S” endorsements (or ability to obtain CDL).
Experience in automotive and diesel repair or relevant apprenticeship.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Background check and random drug test required.
Two-year degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology or 3+ years of experience in heavy-duty repair.
Good communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostic techniques, and repair tools.
Basic computer skills and proficiency with diagnostic equipment.
Ability to work safely in a shop environment.
Duties:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects in buses and other motorized equipment.
Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, hydraulic and electrical systems, and other components.
Operate and maintain diagnostic tools, power tools, and heavy equipment.
Perform field repairs and emergency road assistance as needed.
Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
Additional duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:
• Assesses students' communication skills (e.g., articulation, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, etc.) for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility, and developing recommendations for treatment. • Collaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals (e.g., parents, teachers, physicians, administration, maintenance personnel, team members, other professionals, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information, resolving issues and providing services in compliance with established guidelines. • Coordinates meetings and processes for eligible students (e.g., testing/screening, IEPs, parent conferences, pre-referral staffing, etc.) for the purpose of presenting evaluation results, developing treatment plans. • Develops treatment plans, interventions and/or educational materials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatory requirements. • Interprets medical reports within the scope of Speech/Language Pathologist’s experience and goals for the purpose of providing information and/or ensuring that treatment/intervention plans are appropriate. • Maintains files and/or records (e.g., progress reports, activity logs, treatment plans, required documentation, quarterly reports, screening results, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of information as required for reference and/or compliance. • Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars (e.g., training, IEPs, team meetings, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information. • Provides speech and language therapy to students for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of speech and language disorders on student success. • Researches resources and methods (e.g., intervention and treatment techniques, assessment tools and methods, community resources, etc.) for the purpose of determining the appropriate approach for addressing students' needs. • Responds to inquiries (e.g. parents, teachers, staff, students, etc.) for the purpose of providing information and/or referral as appropriate.
