Hickman County Schools is committed to making its programs, services, information and communication technology accessible to everyone in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The district strives to ensure that communication with parents, students, and members of the public with disabilities is just as effective as those with non-disabled individuals.
Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Plan: Hickman County Schools contracts with a translation service to provide oral and written translation. Employees will have access to “I Speak Language Flashcards.” Once language proficiency is determined, employees will follow the district provided resource available to assist the individuals in determining their need. School officials may contact the Federal Programs Office at Hickman County Schools, for assistance with accessing document translation services.
The school system follows compliance with the regulations for Title VI in regard to implementation, as well as for regular training of employees.
