Job Title: Eagles Basketball Coach Assistant (Boys Team)
Location: EHMS
Job Responsibilities:

The Assistant Coach will be responsible for the following responsibilities in
assisting the head coach in the following:
1. Organize and schedule the basketball season
2. Conduct player tryouts; assess player’s skill and assign team positions
3. Lead team practices and conditioning sessions
4. Provide in-game strategy; determine game strategy based on the team’s capabilities

6. Assist in coordination of the development and promotion of the Basketball program.

9. Maintain and secure all basketball equipment and uniforms. Manage court care and
maintenance. Adhere to EHMS gym & school gym rules / protocols
10. Any other duties assigned by School Admin and/or Athletic Director that will help build and
continue a successful program
Administrative Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring all eligibility documents are completed and submitted (sports physicals,
FINALFORMS portal created by parents)
2. Inventory documentation is turned in on time
3. Holding parents/guardians meetings and meetings with all student athletes

Job Title: Cheer Coach (shared position)

Job Responsibilities:

Overview: The Middle School Cheerleading Coach will be responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive cheerleading program for students in grades 6-8. This position will be shared with another coach to ensure collaboration, support, and the effective management of responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Team Management: a. Plan and conduct regular cheerleading practices for grades 6-8. b. Develop and implement age-appropriate routines and cheers. c. Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive team culture. d. Organize team-building activities to strengthen team cohesion.

  2. Skill Development: a. Instruct and mentor cheerleaders in proper techniques and skills. b. Provide individualized feedback and support for skill improvement. c. Coordinate with the other coach to ensure a well-rounded skill development program.

  3. Game Day Preparation: a. Coordinate cheerleading performances for school sports events. b. Plan and organize routines for pep rallies and other school-related functions. c. Ensure cheerleaders are well-prepared for public performances.

  4. Communication: a. Communicate effectively with students, parents, school administrators, and the other coach. b. Distribute information regarding practice schedules, events, and team updates. c. Collaborate with the other coach to maintain consistent communication.
